Our Complaints Process

Upholding Our Values Together

Key Points for Members

💼 One Point of Contact

All issues, regardless of their nature, can be reported through your chapter. This ensures a simple, streamlined process for every member.

🔍 Clear Process

We have an established step-by-step approach, so you’ll always know what to expect when you raise a concern.

🤝 Fair Treatment

Our system ensures all members are treated fairly and consistently, regardless of the type of issue or who is involved.

How It Works: Simple Steps

  1. Have a concern? Reach out to your Chapter Governance Chair, any member of your local Chapter Conduct Committee (CCC), or email co********@*******om.au. If you do not feel comfortable contacting the EO Queensland Chapter Governance Chair, you are welcome to email go********@*******rk.org which will be reviewed by the Regional Governance Chair.
  2. What happens next? Your concern will be reviewed confidentially. The CCC will ensure it’s directed to the appropriate channel for resolution, whether that’s within the chapter or at a global level.
  3. Resolution: You’ll receive a clear outcome, and any necessary actions will be taken to address the situation.

What We Ask of You

  • Be familiar with the EO Code of Conduct and your Chapter By-laws.
  • Speak up if you see behavior that doesn’t align with our values or violates our rules.
  • Approach the process with an open mind if you’re ever involved.

Your Questions Answered

What types of issues should I report?

Report any behavior or situation that concerns you or that you believe violates our Code of Conduct or Chapter By-laws. This could include unprofessional conduct at events, misuse of EO resources, solicitation, or any form of discrimination or harassment.

Who can file a complaint?

Complaints can be filed by EO members, Spouse/Life Partners, Accelerator participants, Strategic Alliance Partners, or chapter staff. While it’s preferable for the person directly affected to submit the complaint, we may also consider complaints from witnesses in certain circumstances.

Where can I find the Code of Conduct and Chapter By-laws?

The EO Code of Conduct can be found on the EO Global website in the governance section. You can access it by logging into your EO account and navigating to [insert specific path or URL]. The Chapter By-laws are available on our local chapter website. After logging in, you can find them under [insert specific section name or path]. If you have trouble locating either document, please reach out to your Chapter Administrator for assistance.

What is the Chapter Conduct Committee (CCC) and who sits on it?

The Chapter Conduct Committee is a group within your chapter responsible for reviewing and addressing member conduct concerns. It typically consists of 3-5 respected, tenured members of your chapter who serve two-year terms. These members are chosen for their integrity, discretion, and commitment to EO’s values. They are trained to handle complaints fairly and confidentially.

Will my complaint be confidential?

Yes, all complaints are handled with the utmost confidentiality.

What if my concern is about a chapter leader?

Still report it to your Chapter Governance Chair or via co********@*******om.au. These channels are designed to handle all types of complaints appropriately, including those involving chapter leaders.

How will I know my complaint is being addressed?

You’ll receive updates throughout the process. If you haven’t heard anything after a reasonable time, feel free to follow up with your Chapter Governance Chair or via the complaints email.
