Before joining EO, I thought I understood what freedom meant. Like many entrepreneurs, I once worked for someone else and taking the leap to go out on my own was terrifying. But it was also liberating. I finally had control over my time, my choices and my future. I was no longer limited by someone else’s rules. Or so I thought.
It took me years to realise that even as a business owner, I’d built new ceilings for myself, invisible ones. I had a successful business but this time I was the employee and the boss. I was doing things I didn’t truly enjoy and the excitement of “owning my own business” began to fade.
In an effort to push through that stagnation, I joined a business accelerator and built a marketing system that completely transformed my company. Within a year, we grew tenfold. Suddenly, I’d gone from being a small fish in a small pond to a big fish in that same pond. The success was thrilling, but it also left me wondering, “What next?”
That’s when I joined EO. Initially, I saw it as another way to grow my business, but what I discovered was far more meaningful. EO didn’t just give me tools to be a better entrepreneur, it helped me become a better person. Through my forum and the incredible members I’ve met, I’ve realised that the biggest limits in life aren’t external, they’re the ones we unknowingly place on ourselves.
EO has shown me what’s possible when you surround yourself with people who think bigger, dream bolder and challenge you to look beyond your comfort zone. It’s given me “tail lights”, people ahead of me who light the way forward, both in business and in life.
Over the past year, EO has taken me further than I ever imagined, literally and figuratively. I’ve travelled to four countries, sharing adventures and insights with people who inspire me daily. Most recently, I trekked to Mt Everest Base Camp, a reminder that in life and business, you don’t climb to stay comfortable. You climb to grow.
EO has reawakened my curiosity, my courage and my love of learning. It’s shown me that growth isn’t just about scaling a company, it’s about expanding yourself.
And the most powerful ceilings you can break… are the ones you didn’t know were there.
